The 48 Group Club Women Ice breakers is an affiliated organisation of The 48 Group Club which works to advance the Club’s aim of promoting positive trade and other relations between the UK and China by increasing cultural understanding between the two countries.
The 48 Group Club’s history goes back to the early 1950s, when the founding “Icebreakers” were the first Westerners to break through the embargo and establish mutually beneficial trade relations with the newly formed People’s Republic of China. Recognising the increasing importance of close communication in a globalised 21st Century, The 48 Group Women’s Club aims to spread the feminine attributes of tolerance and understanding into the development of trade and other relations between the two countries.
To accompany business-focused events run by The 48 Group Club,The 48 Group Club Women Ice breakers will work closely with existing women’s groups in China to host a diverse range of cultural, educational, and business etiquette events.
